Can anyone explain why the ETA 3130 series circuit breakers are no longer available for military applications?
Hello @p.dudak,
Many ETA 3130 series circuit breakers are available from DigiKey as shown here.
As for military applications, are you asking about a specific NSN or a MILSPEC spelled out on the datasheet?
Sincerely,
Aaron
ETA’s warranty (terms and conditions of sale) would suggest that their equipment shouldn’t be used in mission critical applications. Terms and Conditions of Sale | E-T-A | E-T-A
Thanks, for your reply Arron,
We’ve been advised by our end customer regarding the change of spec; I have inherited a design than now requires update due to the customer comment. I’m trying to understand, has anything physically changed within the ETA breakers or is the fact that they just don’t want to spend money on testing to MIL spec and removed the statement from the data sheet.
Regards,
To my knowledge, there have been no changes, @p.dudak.
It seems unlikely that a MILSPEC part would be unlisted especially if E-T-A expended energy to meet the specification.
Recommend you contact E-T-A directly and request documentation for the part in question.
