Hello,
Is this component lead-free or tin-lead. (HDAM-11-12.0-S131P)
The datasheet I found only demonstrates the -2 version as lead-free.

Hello fernandon,
The HDAM-11-12.0-S-13-1-P would not be Lead-free, because the Solder charge (material added to make solder process easier) is 63%Tin/37%Lead. The HDAM-11-12.0-S-13-2-P has a solder charge of 95.5%Tin/3.8%Silver/0.7%Copper, and is Lead-Free/RoHS compliant.
Hello @fernandon,
Thank you for using DigiKey’s TechForum.
We have received a response from the manufacturer. Please review the below text.
"In response to your inquiry, please be advised that Samtec part HDAM-11-12.0-S-13-1-P is not EU RoHS compliant due to the leaded solder specified to be in the product. Samtec product HDAM-11-12.0-S-13-2-P is fully compliant with EU RoHS2 as the solder type specified in the part call-out is lead-free.
One additional comment, please note there is no official “EU RoHS3”. Unfortunately, our industry adopted the EU RoHS2 Annex addition of the four phthalates (EU Directive 2015/863/EU) as EU RoHS3. Directive 2015/863/EU which is actually an Annex addition to EU RoHS2 is not an official EU RoHS3 Directive. A bit confusing but hopefully this helps."
The change on our website has been reported and will get updated.
Thank you,
Victoria
