How can DIP switches be stored for a long time?
Answer:
Omron’s DIP switches are not specially packaged for long-term storage. In doing so, it may cause the solderability to deteriorate due to corrosion of the teminals. Please Note: We highly recommend to promptly use withn one year.
Explanation:
Please store the product in a place that is not affected by high temperature, humidity, or corrosive gas even within one year storage. Refer the following packaging to avoid corrosion of the terminals.
- Put switches in an aluminum laminate film bag and seal it.
- Put switches in a thick nylon bag and seal it.
There is a high possibility that gas will be generated from the cardboard box. We recommend not to use it for storage.
