Stroke Volume (SV) is the amount of blood that the left ventricle of the heart pushes out every time it beats.
The impedance signal is used to create the ICG waveform, identify its key points, and calculate the stroke volume (SV). The formula uses:

Key variables include:
- W (body weight in kg) and H (height in cm)
- (dZ/dt)max = peak of the ICG signal
- LVET = left ventricular ejection time
- Z₀ = baseline impedance of the body
IW means ideal weight, calculated using Equation 2.
