IDEC is an industrial equipment and control supplier. Among their offerings is the RV8 series of DIN-mounted relays, such as RV8H-S-D24. We’ve had some confusion recently over why the part number for these devices is not printed anywhere on the relay. Is this some sort of error?
Part numbers such as RV8H-S-D24 are actually assemblies consisting of two separate, discrete products - a DIN mounting socket and a separate relay. The combined ordering number is not printed on either part because these are essentially value-added assemblies rather than being made from products earmarked specifically for this ordering number. Instead, both socket and relay are likely to have their own original part numbers printed on them, instead. This is normal and expected for this product type.
