I was referred to this section of the website to identify Amphenol plug. I’m skeptical about it but lets try. Wonder if I can upload pics?
Trying to source the following
X Amphenol 1636 YWT25-500282
(Or X Amphenol 1636 AWT25-500282) not sure if it’s a Y or A in front of WT25
Its a male pin plug and can give any additional information if required. But once again I’m skeptical this will be going anywhere.
Hello Elam and welcome to the DigiKey TechForum.
You should be able to upload a picture to the forum while you are creating your post, there is an option screenshot below.

If you could also provide dimensions and ensure the image either shows number of contacts or provide the amount, it could help identify the connector in question.
Yay I did it. ![]()
Diameter of the collar (with white part number on it) is 0.546"
Pin diameter is a little hard to reach with my caliper but appears to be 0.060"
Pin spacing also slightly hard to get accurately but appears to be within 0.200"
This one is molded onto a cord & I realize it might throw off the part number.
My client is asking if I could assemble this plug onto a cable of his desires. And it’s an ongoing thing rather than just a one time deal.
Hi elam,
Can you get an in-focus shot looking straight into the face of the connector. In your second image, I can make out “Bendix” which is a company bought by Amphenol. The rest of the markings in there might help.
BTW, the “1636” is likely a date code → 2016 36th week
Thanks for the information and your efforts.
It was a good start but found the following of greater interest due to corrosive environment.
Just drilling down to see if dimensions match
Hello David
I’m confident it’s Bendix 12S-3
I have drilled down to the following and in process of identifying dimensions.
That part does appear to be compatible. The series name - “MIL-E-QUAL®” - seems to be saying as much.
Thanks for your time and efforts and guidance.
I’m thinking of ordering a few to try hands on. And expect they could be returned (exchanged) if they don’t match?
Hello elam,
Return conditions would apply; you can find the details at the following pages.
Regards,
Klint
“Details” would actually be in the relevant section(s) of the T&Cs.
