We have several TDK Lambda DC power supplies in our lab. The GEN 150-10 should be capable of 150 volts / 10 amps but when I dial up the voltage with or without a load applied, the display reads 121.1 volts and will not go any higher. Is this normal and if not, what could be limiting the max voltage?
I assume that you’re speaking of something out of this brochure. I don’t see that it’s something DigiKey offers, so the extent of guidance we’d be able to offer is somewhat limited.
Some questions:
- Has this behavior developed recently, or has it always been present?
- In just one unit, or others
- Precisely how is the unit connected and configured?
- How does the output track with the front panel display?
- Does the output waveform look reasonable?
My first suggestion would be to sit with the owners manual and a beverage for a while, looking for plausible explanations for the observed behavior. More features mean more opportunity to mis-configure the tool unwittingly. Perhaps try the factory reset option in section 1.9.8.
8 or 9 times of 10 I have issues of the sort, it’s because I’ve overlooked something mundane.
