Can anyone show me where I can find an open frame IC socket for a DIP 40 IC? This was the closest I’ve found, there was one that the the description picture showed as open frame, but after ordering, it was not. There are components under the IC socket and it needs to be open frame. Thank you for any help. Here is a link to the closest one I can find that is listed as open frame.

As an alternative have you considered using two SIPs?
