Machine safety mats are used to detect human presence for the purpose of safety protocols. Products in this category can be narrowed down by size and color.
SelectionCharacteristics
Width: Indicates the width of the device. Typically this is the shorter side.
Length: Indicates the length of the device. Typically this is the longer side.
Operating Force: Indicates the amount of force needed to actuate the internal switch/contacts.
Color: The dominant color of the device.
Material: Indicates the material composition of the device.
Cable Length: Indicates the length of the cable, if a cable is provided.
Operating Temperature: Recommended operating temperature, typically given in a range or as a maximum. Exceeding these temperatures may affect performance or damage the device and other system components.
Ingress Protection: IP (Ingress Protection) ratings such as (IP20, IP65, IP67, etc.) define how likely water and dirt will get into the system. The first number represents dirt and solid contaminants while the second represents water and liquids.

Approval Agency: An indication of the governmental or private entity that provided the approval or recognition of a product. They also can create the safety standards and can provide testing of products for consumer safety.
