Magnetization Types
When looking at our listing for Magnets - Multi Purpose. You will notice two magnetization types, Axial and Diametric. The difference between these two polarities can be viewed below.
Axial
Magnetization direction is along the axis. The north and south poles are located on the flat surfaces. Your standard refrigerator magnet will be an example of axially magnetized magnets.
Diametric
Magnetization is across the diameter. The north and south poles are located on opposite sides of the curved surface.
