Let’s take the AD985 DDS product from ADI as an example:
AD9852/AD9854/AD9858 's parallel port can read data at up to approximately100MHz (byte rate), while the serial port (SPI) operates at up to 10Mbits/s.
AD9951/AD9952/AD9953/AD9954 and AD9859 have only a serial I/O port. This port, however, can be written to at a rate of 25Mbits/s.
