Molex RFID Tags 920.25 to 924.75 MHz bandwidth

Summary: China customers utilizing the 920.25 to 924.75 MHz bandwidth, Molex RFID tags will work in China.

Details: Several years ago China’s State Radio Regulation Committee (SRRC) approved bandwidths in the 840.25 to 844.75 MHz and 920.25 to 924.75 MHz ranges for use by UHF RFID tags and interrogators in China. Molex RFID tags are optimized for the North American UHF frequency of 902-928 MHz. The 920-925 MHz bandwidth overlaps the North American bandwidth of 902-928 MHz, so all of our standard tags will be functional for China customers utilizing the 920.25 to 924.75 MHz bandwidth. The feedback from Molex’s RFID engineers and the GS1 website (linked below) is that most China customers now use the 920.25 to 924.75 MHz bandwidth. If any China customer is utilizing the 840.25 to 844.75 MHz bandwidth though, then the read range of the RFID tags may be severely reduced for China and use is not recommended.
