Hi,
i’ve noticed that manufacterers of LEDs sort them according to final wavelength. For example TLLE4401 from Vishay. The datasheet mentions on page 2 a color group code. Although you can not order a specific group, they do not mix groups per bag.
The difference in wavelength between groups is quite observable, so it would be of great help to know which color groups DigiKey has available, and if possible even select a specific one. Is this at all feasible?
( I am working on a project where i need to use 3mm diffused yellow leds. However almost every yellow led emits light that looks orange to me. In my search i ordered 30 different “yellow” leds of which only one emitted a good yellow light. Am i going crazy or is it this difiicult to find a good yellow? If I could only select the exact binning group i need…)
Thank you for your time.
Jorim.
