If you are looking at discrete SMD products from Panasonic, you may spot a ‘00L’ suffix at the end of your desired part number.
The 00 are place holders and do not call out anything. These spots can be used for revisions etc. The L calls out tape and reel. For example, “XP01214” is the base part number that appears on the datasheet, while XP0121400L is the complete orderable part number.
There’s no difference between these two part number formats.
