Part#: 345-1874-ND DUALLED-5850 Heatsink Drill Hole Request?

I’m interested in purchasing said part number above for a COB LED. The heat sink’s drill holes are spaced 27 x 30 mm. The COB module itself is 35 x 35 x 2 mm. It is a UVA 365 nm 150 W COB LED (97~W thermal waste). I am only interested in purchasing it if it can come with drill holes not just for the fan but also to attach the COB LED. Otherwise I am forced for a permanent solution involving JBWeld and that’s not ideal for a prototype.

Please let me know if the product can be shipped with drill holes for the COB LED.

Hi maksym,

Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum.

I don’t see that any version of this heatsink actually comes with 27mm x 30mm drill holes.
The closes drill holes offered for a heatsink in this series is 32mm x 32mm as page 3 on data sheet shows. I don’t see that there are any customizable drill hole patterns that can be ordered for these or the data sheet does not seem to offer that.

LED mounting patterns are highly variable, making it impractical to offer devices of this type pre-drilled/tapped for such as a standard option.

While custom modifications to add such are often available as a value-add service, setup fees and MOQs generally apply.

Simply drilling and tapping the desired holes oneself would be another option.

With local milling costs ranging anywhere from $4-$8 per hole I’d be more interested in sourcing a used model from various second hand market places.
