PD42-1-1670-TMCL - absolute positioning of Trinamic Smart BLDC

does PD42-1-1670-TMCL motor has the absolute positioning control?, and also is it an absolute encoder that is present inside the integrated motor or any other encoder, I only see hall based encoder but not exactly know what it means, could some one clarify on this?.

and if I turn the motor off and turn it on back does it know where it was previously - mean the motor shaft position ?.

The motor in question does not appear to natively provide absolute position feedback. It is an unusual feature for continuous-rotation devices, because attachment to equipment capable of operating through multiple revolutions makes it necessary to perform a homing operation at time of power-up in order to assure the position of an overall assembly.
