I am trying to connect the pH sensor to an Arduino and power supply using the 4-20 mA current output. I cut open the wire since I didn’t have the adapter to connect the output directly. The pH sensor had 7 wires internally instead of 5, as the wiring diagram in the datasheet shows. What are the extra wires, and how can I connect this pH sensor to an Arduino to then read the pH?

Thank you for this. Where in the User’s Guide does it explain the purpose of the two extra wires (brown and green)?
While it is expected that the two additional wires are for something. The manufacture may have used a 7 wire cable with the intent on using 5 wires instead. Since the documentation only provides information for the 5 wires, the remaining two can be ignored.
