Product Nomenclature - Suffix Signification

------Question for AS115-4-WIRE-RC Please Put your question below------

Hello, what do the suffixes -RC-ND signify? I could only find the definition of -4WIRE in the product datasheet.

Regards,

Sawyer

The “-ND” portion of that is simple enough to explain, that’s just DigiKey’s suffix, marking it as an item in our catalog. It used to stand for “no discount” back in the early days of the company, but over the years it became so closely associated with us that we simply put it on everything in our catalog.

As for the “-RC” suffix, that’s from Amphenol and I’m also having some trouble identifying it. I suspect it’s not going to be a material change to the specs of the product, but I’m currently searching for documentation to back that up. I’ll update you when I’ve found something!

Okay, quick update for you @sawyer.swaim! The -RC suffix looks like it’s part of Amphenol’s standard ordering configuration for this series, and relates to the NIST calibration that these units come tested with. Here’s an additional document from Amphenol that adds some context: https://amphenol-sensors.com/hubfs/Documents/AAS-930-223A-Thermometrics-Lab-CalibrationSTDS-101018-web.pdf

To make a long story short, it calls out that the parts are pre-calibrated to NIST standards. Hope that helps!

Thank you so much Chris! This was super helpful.
