Hi - I’m using S2B-PH-SM4-TB(LF)(SN) connector to connect battery with my PCB. I made a PCB layout for it but don’t know how the connector connects to those PINs. It has 4 pins so how should I connect my PCB power pin and ground pin with it. It is my first time with this connector. Please guide me. Thanks.
Two of the pins pass through the connector body to the contacts, which are adjacent to each other, the remaining two are for mechanical fixation purposes. Assuming you’ve purchased a battery with pre-attached connector, you’d want to look at the arrangement of the contacts within the battery housing to determine how to make connections on the board; this is a general-purpose connector, and the manner in which the contacts are loaded into a plug housing is not necessarily universal.
