Hi Everyone,
I am working on a project that requires a detailed understanding of the expected lifetime and reliability parameters for the following components. I am looking for information beyond basic datasheets, such as operating life (in hours or cycles), failure rates (FIT), or qualification reports, to support a reliability analysis.
Here are the specific parts:
-
STM32WB05KZV6TR (STMicroelectronics MCU) – The ST website shows a 10-year longevity commitment for this family.
-
LSM6DSO / LSM6DSO32XTR (STMicroelectronics IMU)
-
LIS2MDLTR (STMicroelectronics Magnetometer)
-
HSFPAR004A (Alps Alpine Force Sensor) – The spec sheet lists an operating life of 1,000,000 cycles.
My questions for the community are:
-
For the STM MEMS sensors (LSM6DSO, LIS2MDL), has anyone obtained reliability test reports (like HTOL, EFR) or FMEDA data from ST? What is the best channel to request this?
-
Are there known wear-out mechanisms or typical operational life figures for these sensors in continuous use?
-
Based on your experience, are these parts considered robust for long-term (e.g., 5-10 year) embedded products?
-
Can anyone recommend where to find similar reliability “pointers” for Alps Alpine components?
Any shared experiences, documentation references, or contact suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
