I’m just an old organ player and my serviceman has disappeared, I think he is dead.
The capacitor has no resistance. It is mounted in a Hammond organ type B -2000. I want to replace it with a new compatible capacitor. The following is printed on the capacitor:
2200uF 50V. Diameter 22 mm - height 40 mm.
There are a total of 4 capacitors on the circuit board. Would it be a good idea to replace all 4, so that a new and well-functioning one does not overload the others?
In that case, the three remaining capacitors are marked:
1000 uF 50V. Diameter 22mm - height 40mm.
1000uF 35 V. Diameter 22 mm - height 20mm
2200uF 35 V. Diameter 22 mm - height 30 mm.
It would be great if someone could help to find new compatible parts.
Kind regards;

Hello @geirbirk1,
Welcome to the TechForum.
As a general statement, yes, it is good to replace the electrolytic capacitors as they do degrade with time. However, there is no hard expiration date.

See this video for assistance with emphasis on capacitor pin spacing.
-
Take images of the capacitors before they are removed. There are occasional reports from the Hi-Fi crowd with incorrect silkscreens on the PCB.

Don’t do too much at once. It’s easy to make mistakes. If you do too much at once it can be difficult to troubleshoot.
Please let us know if you were successful.
Happy soldering,

Hello gierbirk1,
To go along with APDahlen’s advice, I also found the following capacitors.
For the 1000uF, I only found 1 that has a diameter of 22mm, it is rated for 50v though. That would be 338-3820-ND.
For the 2200uF capacitors, I found 1189-35KXF2200MEFCSN22X20-ND that is rated for 35v and 338-3706-ND that is rated for 50v.
