Sumitomo sells a variety of heat shrinkable product offerings, including their B2 1/4 BLACK 4FT. We’ve recently received some questions concerning the maximum burst pressure spec for this tubing. What’s the manufacturer’s answer?
Sumitomo doesn’t have a maximum burst pressure specification for this product. Most typical heat shrink won’t have this sort of specification; typical heat shrink is not often used for high tensile strength applications. You’ll want to investigate different materials to hold your assembly together if bursting is an issue.
