Texas Instruments, RS232 Transceiver MAX3232EIDR: Part Markings?

Texas Instruments is one of the world’s leading suppliers of integrated circuits of many different stripes, including relatively simply transceiver devices like MAX3232EIDR. Recently we’ve received a few questions concernings markings for this device, with customers who had found or held onto old stock seeing the old TI outline-of-Texas logo on their products while new parts simply have a ‘TI’ on them. Is there any functional difference between these two?

This is actually a pretty old change, from February of 2022. Texas Instruments released a PCN explaining the marking change for a vast number of their devices. The marking change doesn’t indicate any sort of performance discrepancy between the two.
