The Wi-Fi connection between my Raspberry Pi Zero 2W's and my Unifi Wi-Fi system is intermittent

I recently purchased some Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W’s and have been trying to get them to connect to my Ubiquity Unifi Wi-Fi system. While they are able to connect the connection seems intermittent at best. I cannot consistently SSH into the Pi’s. When I am able to SSH in, the connection fails within a few minutes.

I’ve tried disabling the power-saving features. I’ve tried updating to the newest version of the Raspberry Pi OS. I even tried using an older Wi-Fi driver that some forums claimed had fixed the issue. None of the above fixed my issue.

I was able to work around the issue by connecting an external Wi-Fi dongle via USB, but this is a crude solution when the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W is made specifically to support Wi-Fi.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The WiFi module on the Raspberry Pi is from Broadcom. You should post your issue’s on their github issue section: GitHub - raspberrypi/linux: Kernel source tree for Raspberry Pi-provided kernel builds. Issues unrelated to the linux kernel should be posted on the community forum at https://forums.raspberrypi.com/ As Raspberry Pi foundation does have kernel developers on their team.

I assume you’ve also posted at: https://forums.raspberrypi.com/

Personally i run a Ubiquity gear, most of my devices i leave power-management off as WiFi ssh connections can be fun to deal with..
