I am looking to order some thermocouples for R&D testing. Two options I have in mind are:
5TC-TT-K-36-36
5TC-TT-K-30-72
The datasheet for these shows “NIST calibration available”. Is that calibration available upon request, or will these thermocouples typically ship with a calibration certificate?
If the datasheet says that “NIST calibration data available” it typically means that it does not come with by default. Most of our equipment doesn’t come with calibration certificates by default, see this article. Datasheets typically are very specific about the wording. I have reached out to our Omega contact to see how this can be obtained.
I received an update from Omega recently. They have confirmed the NIST calibration does not come with. The part numbers would be modified to 5TC-TT-K-36-36-CAL-3 and 5TC-TT-K-30-72-CAL-3. Unfortunately, neither of these are in our catalog at this time and would require a special order. This usually involves very lengthy lead times and large minimum order quantities.
