I’m writing a manual and am putting together the glossary. Can someone point me to a link, or perhaps a PDF describing what the letters u.fl stand for?
The component itself is made by Hirose and is a Ultra Small Surface Mount Coaxial Connectors
I know all about the purpose and use of the component. I just need to know what the letters stand for!

This is an excellent question.
I think you’re going to find the U stands for ultra small and the FL is just the name Hirose created for the series. As you may have come across in your search you may be aware they’re equivalent/compatible with other manufacturer’s names like UMCC, MHF and AMC which are other manufacturer’s series/trade names.
