Are there any markings on the circuit board itself that may give us a clue to which type of IC this could be?
The logo looks like it is a Microchip Technology part, however, I am not having much luck finding a chip with those markings.
Looks like it is the 25AA080C-I/MS 8K SPI serial EEPROM in the MSOP package. Here’s a link to the datasheet, which shows the marking on page 15.
