I order some small lipo batteries that arrive in a box showing a manufacture date of more than three years ago. It is impossible these batteries are not severely degraded. Why is DigiKey selling them?
The datasheet even states that the batteries should be recharged if stored more than 6 months.
Hi @noxxle,
Just curious, what is the application where you are planning to use the batteries?
Cheers, heke (just sitting on the fence, not affiliated with DigiKey)
Hello,
Welcome to the TechForum.
I was able to confirm: We were zero stock 05/03/2024 and just received this inventory of batteries from the manufacturer 10/09/2025.
For further information please email our custom.orders@digikey.com as they can provide more details on this battery pack.
We only sell the product sent to us by the manufacturer and we store these items correctly as to the datasheets.
Thank you
Ryan
