Why is DK recommending substitutes on active components?

Hello!

I’ve just uploaded an older BOM (myList now apparently) with several components that have the “View Substitutes” button in the availability column. At first glance I was like perfect, those must be out of stock or obsolete.

However, all of the components that are asking for a substitute are still in stock and active. An example part is this one: (MF# K221K10X7RF5UH5) (DK# BC2672CT-ND). At the time of this writing there are 16K in stock (my BOM quantity is only 200), and part is still active. Why is DigiKey recommending a substitute? Is there something else I’m missing?

Hello General_LMP - welcome to the Forum.

I think it may have been a momentary glitch with our system, because I could not get it to offer me substitutes for BC2672CT-ND. I apologize for the inconvenience!
