060-0708-08TJG Pressure Sensor. How to connect to computer?

How does this product work or interface with computer? I want to get the reading in the labview. Does this device comes with usb device that directly connects to computer ? Or is there separate device that allows me to communicate with computer and get its reading in computer?

I also need to know what comes with the purchase of this.

This is pressure Transducer that had been used in old system but I don’t have complete information of how it was used to acquire data in LabVIEW environment. I am thinking it had some wire that plug directly into computer and communicates via VISA protocol.

The Honeywell 060-0708-08TJG pressure sensor doesn’t directly connect to a computer by USB and doesn’t communicate using the VISA protocol on its own. It’s a transducer, that converts a physical pressure measurement into an electrical signal such as 4mA ~ 20mA, 0V ~ 5V, 1V ~ 10V. You will need an intermediate device to interface it with a computer and acquire data in LabVIEW. Im not aware of a product that uses VISA protcol. Maybe someone else in the community knows of a device that does.

Hello @spoudel,

Do you have a LabVIEW compatible DAQ to measure voltage?

If yes, you could send the 4-20 mA output signal to a 500 Ω resistor. This intermediate step will convert the output current to a 2 to 10 VDC signal:

Sincerely,

Aaron
