Hi DigiKey Team,
I’m building the interconnect cable between two power supplies (“PSU-2AMR-A” and “PSU-2AMR-L”) for a DDA AMR-24 console. I need help identifying the exact shell size and part numbers for the MIL-DTL-26482 Series I connectors so I can order both cable ends, backshells, and suitable cable.
What I have:
Circular connectors, metal, bayonet coupling, single keyway.
-
Jam-nut (single-hole) panel receptacles on the PSU faces (female contacts).
-
10-contact insert arranged 8 around + 2 in the center (side-by-side).
-
The barrel OD is about 0.50″ (≈12.7 mm), so this is the smaller Series I form factor (likely shell 12 or 14S, not the larger 97-series).
-
This seems to correspond to MIL-DTL-26482 Series I (Amphenol PT / 62GB / MS311x family).
What I need to buy (please provide exact in-stock part numbers/SKUs):
-
Straight cable plug, pins — MS3116, shell size to match my receptacle, 10-contact “8+2” insert (e.g., MS3116F*[shell]**-10P*).
-
Straight cable plug, sockets — same shell/insert, 10-contact, (e.g., MS3116F*[shell]**-10S*).
- I’m making a plug-to-plug cable (one end with pins, the other with sockets) to link the two PSUs.
-
Backshells / clamps for both plugs, sized for ~0.35–0.45″ cable OD (please recommend).
-
(Optional, if you stock them) Jam-nut panel receptacle with sockets — MS3114, same shell/insert (in case I ever need to replace a PSU chassis connector).
-
Cable recommendation: 10-core, 16–18 AWG, shielded multi-core suitable for low-voltage DC rails (±18 V and ±26 V; up to a few amps per conductor), jacket OD that fits the backshell you recommend.
Attachments: face photos of the PSU connectors and a simple “8-around + 2 center” insert sketch.
Please confirm the shell size from my photos (likely 12-10 or 14S-10 insert arrangement) and send me orderable part numbers (and any needed suffixes for plating/finish).
Thanks so much,
Matt McQueen
