------Question for MAUI STUDIO PRO Please Put your question below------

I assume that this part number is a software license key. Is this correct?

Normally it is bound to a hardware by a serial number. How is this handled?

Greetings,

There’s a video here on the LeCroy site that illustrates part of the process.

My suspicion is that the asset would be digitally delivered, and that the DigiKey entry arose as a result of the part number being included in a routine price book update alongside physical product.

The datasheet document contains links for a download/30-day trial, within which is usually some mechanism for purchase of a durable license.

Thanks. Yes, I know this procedure. But the question is, how is this handled when I buy the license at Digikey.

Awkwardly, I expect.

It does not appear to have been sold previously and because there are indications that the listing was instantiated as a routine matter without preparation for the exceptions that a non-physical product presents, I expect that the process would not be a routine or smooth one.

My honest guidance in this case would be to obtain a license from LeCroy directly. If institutional constraints make that difficult, I would advise contacting sales, explaining that the product is a software item, and getting clarification on the delivery process/procedure prior to placing an order or PO.
