Good day DigiKey

I am non electronics technical, however I am the proprietor of a Radio Station in South Africa.

My need is to be able to collect our internet stream either via WiFi or directly via a GSM Sim and deliver that stream in analogue audio, for input into a low power (1w) FM Transmitter for rebroadcast of our station within a Retirement Village or Lifestyle Estate

I believe your device RN4871U-V/RM118 may be capable of this if not a very high percentage of the need.

This is easily done using a Cellphone and connecting the “Headphone Jack directly to the Transmitter Input” however the Cellphone has its own problems, it has no persistence, so if it loses connection for any reason, the app collecting the stream has to be restarted, or if its battery becomes discharged, it is again a manual intervention, and leaving the charger permanently connected is also a problem.

We need a device that has solid connection, which is persistent and will immediately find the lost stream again, if lost for whatever reason.

Barix does this, at huge expense, which is way out of our clients league.

Please advise us here.

Kind regards

Mike de Bruyn
