I have a feature suggestion for the View Similar functionality in the Product Attributes table. The current behavior is that when you select a checkbox next to an attribute, it filters for products with that exact attribute. However, in many cases when looking for an alternate you want to use the attribute as a maximum or minimum value.
For example, if I am on the product page for a Schottky diode and check the box next to the maximum reverse voltage of 50V, the View Similar button will filter for products with a maximum reverse voltage of exactly 50V. However, any Schottky diode with a maximum reverse voltage of at least 50V will work for my application.
I would like to suggest a UI change like the following mockup, where instead of a checkbox, numeric attributes have a dropdown to select whether to filter by exact matching values, values that are greater than or equal to, values that are less than or equal to, and values that are approximately equal to (maybe ±5% or ±10%) the selected value.
DigiKey’s product attributes filtering system is the best of any vendor I’ve worked with, and I think this feature would make it even better.
