We’ve had some questions recently on part numbers from this series, inquiring as to the meaning of the ‘-20’ in part numbers like LY T66F-ABBB-35-3A4B-20-R33-Z. Many people’s BOMs call out only the base number, such as 475-LYT66F-ABBB-35-3A4B. Does this ‘-20’ affix call out or affect the part’s specs at all?
The “-20” affix does call out specific performance values, in this case - the ‘20’ indicates the product’s specified test current of 20mA. This is the value under which the LED conforms to the information in its datasheet, and should be treated as its normal/nominal current.
