Dear Sir’s
We are looking for your advice as we need a replacement for the discontinued ARCOL, wire-wound, 5Ω, 60W, ±5% , resistor Part No: V60S H 5R K ADJ
Waiting for your advice
Hello @antoniocardoso
Welcome to the TechForum
I am not able to find any information on what package was used for the V60S H 5R K ADJ resistor.
If it is a radial tube with lugs, the closest part we have to that description is part number FVT10006E5R000JE Vishay Huntington Electric Inc. | Resistors | DigiKey
If it is an aluminum axial box, the closest part we have to that description is part number HS200 5R J Ohmite | Resistors | DigiKey
Hi antoniocardoso,
I have not been able to find any data on the Arco V60S series, but I did find some indication that it might be an adjustable type (including the last string in your part number - V60S H 5R K ADJ ).
Assuming that’s true, then the functionally nearest (as opposed to physically nearest) products we keep in stock are probably the following parts:
-
D50K5R0E
5Ω 50W 4" long adjustable resistor -
AVT05006E5R000KE
5Ω 50W 4" long adjustable resistor -
RSSD20117A4R70KB15
4.7Ω 100W 4.6" long adjustable resistor -
D100K5R0E
5Ω 100W 6.5" long adjustable resistor
They will al look similar to this:
Note that the two physically smallest ones are only rated for 50W. Also note that the physically smaller of the two 100W options, the RSSD20117A4R70KB15, is a 4.7Ω resistor rather than 5Ω, which may matter in some applications.
