AS1115-BSST PCB Footprint

I’m looking for a drawing of the PCB footprint for ams Osram’s AS1115-BSST IC. The data sheet shows a mechanical drawing of the IC itself, but not the preferred PCB footprint. Their website has no phone number or email address for support, and the contact form they have seems to be broken. Hopefully, somebody here has the information. Thanks!

I could not find anything.

Let me check with the Manufacture. Will let you know when I receive any information.

Strictly speaking, determination of a suitable PCB footprint is the responsibility of the user, since user requirements and process variables are beyond the component manufacturer’s knowledge or control.

In cases such as these where no guidance is clearly available, finding a part with similar dimensions and using the suggested layout for it can be a reasonable expedient.

99% of all parts I spec in designs have a manufacturer’s recommended footprint attached to the data sheet. It’s odd that they don’t have that information. Since the footprint isn’t available for download for my design software, I’ll have to draw it. It’d be a lot easier if they just put the footprint info in the data sheet. I suppose I can guess what the footprint should be, but that’s not very precise.

At the bottom of our detail page it says EDA models, if you click on this it shows the basic footprint. If you click view on ultralibarian.com and then change it from basic view to detailed view you will get this:

You can then download it in a number of different file types.

Yep, I"ve seen that. It gives dimensions of the part, but not the recommended footprint. I’m using Diptrace for this design.
Ultralibrarian doesn’t have a footprint for Diptrace for this part.

I finally got a response from the Manufacture.

They informed me that they do not have a footprint drawing they could recommend.

Thanks for checking. I’ve drawn one that should work at least good enough to hand-populate a prototype.
