Washers and Bushings with a shoulder are a disc or round shaped object with two levels, the smaller of the two diameters is usually inserted into an opening. The characteristics are thread/screw/hole size, diameter/inside, diameter/outside, diameter/shoulder, thickness/overall, length/below head, and material. The materials are brass, fiber, nylon, polyphenylene sulfide, polyphenylene sulfide/glass filled, and thermoplastic.

Thread/Screw/Hole Size: Indicates the thread size of compatible screws and bolts. For more information on screw sizes see Choosing a Screw by the Thread Size.
Diameter - Inside: Indicates the inner diameter of the washer.
Diameter - Outside: The larger of the washer’s two outer diameters.
Diameter - Shoulder: The smaller of the washer’s two outer diameters.
Thickness - Overall: Describes overall washer dimension parallel to the axis of the fastener hole.
Length - Below Head: The distance that a fastener protrudes beyond the surface against which it is installed.
Material: Indicates the material composition of the device.
