Washers are thin plates with a hole that is normally used to distribute the load of a fastener, such as a bolt, nut or rivet. Other uses are as a spacer, spring, wear pad, locking device, electrical insulator or to reduce vibration (rubber washer). Washers are selected by the inside and outside diameters, thickness, plating and material. Types include flat, external tooth, internal tooth, sealing or split lock.

Type: Indicates the specific style of washer.
Thread/Screw/Hole Size: Indicates the thread size of compatible screws and bolts. For more information on screw sizes see Choosing a Screw by the Thread Size.
Diameter - Inside: Indicates the inner diameter of the washer.
Diameter - Outside: Indicates the outer diameter of the washer.
Thickness: Describes overall washer dimension parallel to the axis of the fastener hole.
Plating: Indicates the finish/plating material applied to the washer.
Material: Indicates the material composition of the washer.
