We often get asked for the R value for insulated panels from Panasonic Industrial Devices - FBD, such as CNRZZB78400. R value is calculated by dividing the product thickness by the thermal conductivity of the insulation. For this example, we find on the datasheet that the thickness is 24 mm and the thermal conductivity is .002 W/mK. Which gives us R = .024/.002, equaling an R value of 12.
