Hi i work for a small laptop refurbisher, I often find it difficult to source replacement usb ports for dell, hp and lenovo laptop motherboards, i often have to modify ports to get them to fit.
Can anyone help me identify the following ports, or something similar i could use, and is there an easy way of identifying replacement usb ports as there are so many types.
It looks like a right angle USB port, with through hole pins. What type of port is it? Type A, Mini B, C,… Without any direction, we need a picture of the port opening for the cable.
What does the board look like? Can we see the mounting holes, and if the port sits in a cutout section? What are the dimensions for the pin spacings and the support holes?
There are 3 different usb a ports, 1 from a lenovo thinkpad, top, 1 from a dell latitude and 1 from a hp elitebook. I will try and find a motherboard and get the extra measurements that you suggested.
