A common request for coin cell batteries, such as Panasonic’s common P189-ND, is whether the parts will ship with a CE or similar safety agency certification mark on the packaging, or on the batteries themselves.
Unfortunately, these markings are not printed on the batteries directly. To obtain these markings, you must order the parts in unbroken manufacturer standard quantity, and then request the manufacturer’s original packaging via the Order Notes section of your order. You can tell what quantity you need to order by looking for the small box icon in the price breaks section of the product’s web page, as shown here:
We tried ordering these batteries 3 separate times with the Order Notes as described in this post and have not received CE marked batteries with any of the orders. Can you please help?
As was mentioned above, the markings would not be on the batteries themselves. The markings would be on the manufacturers packaging. If you did request the manufacturer’s original packaging via your order notes and did not receive the original packaging, you will want to reach out to Customer.Service@digikey.com.
We requested the Manufacturer’s Standard Packaging as indicated by the box for ECR2032BP-ND but we did not get a CE mark on any of the packaging. The Date Code is Oct-2024.
