Products within this family are Light Emitting Diode (LED) devices that are mechanically packaged for convenient use as visual indicators in various formats, ranging from single LEDs that are commonly used for indicating the power-on status of a device, to multi-segment devices used to create simple bar graph displays that are useful for communicating information such as the level of fluid remaining in a tank, or amount of charge remaining in a battery.
SelectionCharacteristics
Color: Typically this indicates the number and color(s) of the LEDs used in the device.
Wavelength - Peak: Characterizes the highest point in a device’s output spectrum when operated at rated test conditions.
Configuration: Indicates how the LEDs are physically arranged on the device. Typically high is the vertical orientation and wide is the horizontal orientation.
Current: Typically this indicates the test current used by the manufacturer.
Millicandela rating: Characterizes device brightness at the indicated test current or nominal input voltage.
Viewing Angle: Indicates the angle of light emitted from the LEDs.
Lens Type: Indicates the color and transparency of a device’s lens.
Lens Style: Indicates the shape of a device’s lens.
Lens Size: Indicates the diameter, or length and width of the part.
Voltage rating: This rating indicates the nominal amount of voltage you would expect the device to draw during normal operation.
Mounting Type: Indicates how the device is attached.
