Circuit protection fuse kits are collections of devices designed to create a physical open circuit condition between two terminals when current flow exceeds a specified limit. The conductive material between the terminals melts (blows) from heat generated by excessive current flow. Immediate open circuit response is referred to as fast blow while slow blow is a delayed open response.

Kit Type: A general description of the function and contents of the kit.
Response Time: Indicates the time between current reaching the fuse’s rated operating level and the fuse opening. Fast Blow fuses are typically used for delicate digital equipment highly sensitive to transient spikes, while Slow Blow fuses are useful for inductive applications that occasionally slip harmlessly past the fuse’s rated limit for short times.
Voltage Rating: Typically this represents the maximum voltage rating to which a device will meet its given specifications. Exceeding this voltage rating may damage the device and other system components. Indicates the span of voltage ratings the kit includes.
Current Rating (Amps): Typically this represents the maximum current to which a device will meet its given specifications. Exceeding this current may damage the device and/or other system components. Indicates the span of current ratings the kit includes.
Quantity: Indicates the number of pieces contained in the kit.
Includes: Indicates items included with purchase.
Mounting Type: Indicates how the devices in the kit can be attached.
Packages Included: Describes the footprints/terminations/sizes the items in the kit have.
