Surface Mount TO-243AA Package, sometimes known as SOT-89-3. Easily identified by having 3 “flat leads” and a tab. The tab allows heat dissipation to the board.
Surface Mount SOT-89-5/6 Package, sometimes known as SOT-89-5. Easily identified by having 5 “flat leads” and a tab that can be mistaken for a 6th lead. The tab allows heat dissipation to the board.

Surface mount components size referenced to a match head. The top number indicates the size in hundredths of an inch, and the bottom number indicates the size in tenths of a millimeter. For further sizing detail please refer to post Standard Package Sizing for Two-Terminal SMDs.
