I get the YY/MM what is the +5
In general the +5 would be an indication of day or week. Since you have 1918+5 I would say this is the 5th day of the 18th week of 2019. If you have a part number we could see if they mention on the datasheet or check with the product manager.

Ok so disregard my earlier comment. For this TI part you are looking at YYWW and +5 is calling out an extended 5 year shelf life.
