Can this be used for Bottom Entry? The datasheet specifies TOP ENTRY, but DigiKey gives a Connector Type Header, Top or Bottom Entry
Hello and welcome to the TechForum!
As you pointed out, Sullins classifies it as a top entry in their datasheet here:
Whenever you see a conflict between information that you see on the DigiKey website and that in the manufacturer’s documentation it’s always going to be the manufacturer’s information that we defer to. I’m not sure why “top or bottom entry” is in the detailed description for this one, I’m going to email our product information team to see if it needs to be updated.
Hi tachyx,
I agree that the datasheet describes it as “top entry” only. It does kind of appear from the 360 degree image that the underside of the female contacts are accessible, though it may not be designed to accept header pins if inserted that way.
The Sullins SFM710-NPPC-Sxx and SFM850-NPPC-Sxx series parts are listed as “top/bottom entry”, but we don’t list an option for a 6-pin version and none of them, regardless of pin count, are normally stocked.
We do have an in-stock option which is specified as “top/bottom entry” in it’s documentation:
