Digitron A14A is a through hole diode with the following specifications that I used to find a cross:

I found a potential cross from DigiKey that could be considered an upgrade. The DigiKey part number is 4878-1N5402CT-ND (manufacturer part number 1N5402).
The specification list is below:
- DC Reverse Voltage: 200V
- Current Average Rectified: 3A
- Forward Voltage: 1.2V @ 3A
- Package/Case: DO-201AA, DO-27 Axial
Note: I could not find any with a SOD-57 package. DO type packages are still pretty compact. The part above is just one option out of many alternates. Here is a list of more potential crosses, click here.
