Product Overview: Comprehensive hardcore configuration, balancing professionalism and convenience

The StamPLC becomes the “all-around partner” for industrial automation and maker development, thanks to its hardcore hardware configuration tailored for automation scenarios. From the core architecture to interface design, from environmental adaptation to human-machine interaction, every detail balances industrial professionalism with development convenience, showcasing the strength of a flagship product.

Dual-core fusion architecture, processing and connectivity both online

The product name StamPLC hides a core secret, composed of two parts: “stamp” and “PLC”. “Stamp” represents the Stamp-S3A control module based on the Espressif ESP32-S3, while “PLC” is the abbreviation for classic programmable logic controller. The strong combination of the two not only provides industrial-grade powerful processing capabilities for the device, but also achieves efficient wired and wireless dual connectivity, meeting the stable computing needs of industrial scenarios while adapting to the remote connection requirements of the IoT era, laying a solid foundation for automation control and data transmission.

Full industrial control interface coverage, worry-free expansion and integration

In terms of control and expansion, the StamPLC achieves industrial-grade comprehensive coverage: equipped with 8 optically isolated digital inputs, 4 relay outputs supporting AC/DC loads, plus 2 HY2.0-4P interfaces and side expansion pin sockets, allowing direct connection of various industrial sensors and actuators, eliminating the hassle of complex adapters; built-in PWR-CAN and PWR-485 interfaces enable seamless integration of the device into industrial field bus networks, easily achieving remote data transmission and centralized control, perfectly meeting industrial-grade networking requirements.

Industrial environment adaptation ensures stable operation.

To cope with harsh industrial environments, the StamPLC has been fully optimized in hardware design: it supports 6–36V wide-voltage DC power supply, resisting on-site voltage fluctuations and adapting to different power scenarios; it perfectly fits DIN rail mounting, while the product package includes 4 slotted expansion brackets and 4 adjustable expansion brackets. The device also has 4 M3 screw holes and 1 keyhole wall-mounting hole on the back, offering multiple installation options to ensure secure fixing in various scenarios; a built-in microSD card slot facilitates local storage of industrial data and convenient firmware updates, making device maintenance easier.

Smart monitoring and interaction for both operation and alerts.

In terms of human-machine interaction and device status monitoring, the StamPLC is equally thoughtful: it features a 1.14-inch color display, RESET/BOOT button, 3 user buttons, and a buzzer, enabling one-button operation for parameter configuration and device status monitoring. The buzzer provides timely alerts when the device is abnormal, preventing operational errors in industrial scenarios. It also integrates an LM75 temperature sensor and an INA226 voltage/current sensor to provide real-time feedback on the device’s own operating status, paired with an RTC module to ensure time synchronization and accurate operation log recording, keeping the device’s status fully under control.

One-click cloud connectivity for ultra-convenient remote management.

The StamPLC also leverages the cloud ecosystem advantages of M5Stack. The factory firmware defaults to uploading device data to the M5Stack EZData cloud platform and automatically generates a monitoring page, eliminating the need to manually set up a backend, enabling convenient remote cloud access and centralized control. Whether monitoring equipment in a home studio or remotely managing the automation system of a small factory, you can “control the site without leaving home,” greatly improving development and operational efficiency.

Typical scenarios: Easy implementation, unlocking unlimited possibilities for automation development.

Based on excellent hardware configuration and user-friendly operation design, the StamPLC can easily adapt to various automation control scenarios, from simple environmental monitoring to complex remote device control. Without extensive industrial control development experience, you can quickly achieve results. Two typical scenarios give you an intuitive feel for the capabilities of this final product:

Smart environment monitoring, real-time anomaly alerts

Connect the StamPLC to the Unit ENV-III environmental sensor to achieve industrial-grade smart environment monitoring. Taking humidity alerts as an example, after connecting the hardware to a computer, simply set up the program logic in Arduino — connect to Wi-Fi, read the sensor humidity value in real time, and when the humidity exceeds 80%, the device screen turns red, the buzzer sounds, and a notification is sent to your phone. After compiling and uploading the code, the function is ready. Environmental monitoring for industrial sites and workshops is handled with one click, making it safe and efficient.

Remote actuator control, visual operation made easy

In addition to collecting sensor data, the StamPLC can easily control various actuators, such as achieving remote lighting control through its built-in relay. These operations require no complex industrial programming and can be done directly on the device’s factory firmware and the EZData web platform, with a user-friendly visual interface.

Configuring the EZData platform is also very simple: enter the device’s Wi-Fi configuration mode, connect to the AP “M5StamPLC-WiFi-Config,” access 192.168.4.1 via a browser to configure and save Wi-Fi information, restart the device, go to the Monitor Link page, scan the QR code to access the remote control page, and log in to your M5Stack account to enable remote control. The whole process takes just a few steps, making it easy even for beginners.

Additionally, the input channels of the StamPLC feature optocoupler isolation, supporting DC 5~36V high-level / low-level signal input acquisition, making it compatible with different types of industrial sensors. It also provides more API interfaces for richer functional interactions, and thanks to the efforts of community developers and engineers, it is compatible with Home Assistant, integrating into a broader open-source IoT ecosystem. Whether for home automation, personal workshop projects, or industrial control needs in small factories, it is a perfect fit.
