EPCOS vs Sprague/Vishay

Hello, I need to replace the capacitors on a 35 year old audio amplifier. I saw an earlier discussion here where someone needed the exact same ones as me. I contacted the amplifier company and they said since the original Mepco capacitors are no longer manufactured, they have switched to capacitors made by Sprague, which I think is Vishay. The ones I think they are using are these, but Digikey doesn’t sell them. In the previous discussion, someone from Digikey suggested replacing the old Mepco capacitors with ones made by EPCOS. I’m wondering is there any major difference between the two brands of capacitors, specifically when using them in an amplifier?

Thanks,

Jordan

Your Vishay example capacitor, DigiKey has MAL220217102E3 in stock. We do sell them, at least that one.

Vishay and TDK - Epcos are comparable brands. Cornell Dubilier would also be a manufacturer to consider for those types of capacitors.

Thanks, I must have missed that one because I was filtering for 105mm and that’s 105.8
